Frequently Asked Questions

Does the ultrasound simulator use a real
ultrasound probe?

No, the probe included in your kit is a simulated probe. However, it does create video feedback on your computer as you scan the patient model, which simulates real ultrasound!

How does the ultrasound simulator work?

The SIMON ultrasound probe plugs into your computer. Using the SIMON software, the user may then customize the simulator with whatever ultrasound videos they want. After creating a simulator, the user can scan the patient model to create video feedback on their computer.

Do SIMON simulators come with a warranty? What is your policy on refunds?

All products included in any order come with a 6-month warranty that covers a full replacement of any components that become defective or stop working. However, this does not include damage done by the user. Replacement of a faulty or defective product can only be fulfilled once the purchaser has shipped the product back to the vendor. Cost of the return shipment is at the purchaser’s expense. However, the cost of shipping the replacement product will be covered by the vendor.

If a refund is desired, requests for a refund on any product that you purchase must be made within 30 days from the date that the order arrived.

What’s the difference between the “Full Kit” and the “Doctor’s Kit”?

The “Full Kit” includes all the medical equipment that is necessary to run the simulator, and is intended for people who do not have equipment of their own
(for example, transilluminator, dog model, ophthalmic lens, etc.)

The “Doctor’s Kit” includes just the simulator itself, and is intended for users that already have their own medical equipment.
